Type Days Ljubljana 2017 (as participant)

I participated in one-week long type design workshop for 4 years in a row that was organised by Tipo Brda, Slovenia.

Day 1: Sketching.

I decided to practice backslanted letters. I have never done it before so it seemed like a big challange to me. The sketching of some of the characters alone was a big obstacle I had to overcome. I recently started on project to harmonize Latin script with Arabic. Since arabic letters look backslanted to me (non Arabic reader), I tried to harmonize them with an idea of adding backslanted Latin.

Next days I focused on sketching and digitalizing light style of already existing Alica Display Italic Bold.
