I had an opportunity to present my latest (and ongoing) research about the sing painting in Slovenia.

Fragments of Hand Painted Signs

” sign painting is both a craft and an artistic practice that is rapidly disappearing in slovenia, while remaining insufficiently documented and largely absent from contemporary educational and research contexts. this study was conceived as an effort to collect, document, and interpret hand-painted letterforms, drawing on both archival sources and surviving examples in the public space. the research is grounded in an interdisciplinary approach, bringing together typography, art history, conservation, ethnology, and craft practice, and is further informed by dialogue with institutions, specialists, and the remaining practitioners who carry this knowledge. it seeks to address an overlooked yet culturally significant form of heritage. ”
